Caucasus grand mufti calls Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan tolerance space

Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh, Grand Mufti of the Caucasus, said at the science conference on dialogue of civilizations in Astana that Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan should be recognized as the space of tolerance, Trend reports.

Pashazadeh described the historic role of Astana meetings, missions of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev. He recalled Azerbaijani National Leader Heydar Aliyev who considered tolerance the most obvious expression of culture. Pashazadeh praised Nazarbayev for efforts to settle the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Pashazadeh is attending the 12th session of the Secretariat of Astana Forums. The secretariat was formed to organizational issues of sessions. Pashazadeh believes that the structure needs improvements.
