The 11th inter-regional art exhibition "South of Russia" opens today at the Akhmad Kadyrov memorial complex "Walk of Fame" in Grozny.
Artists from 17 regional offices of the Union of Artists of Russia from Adygea, Dagestan, Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Kalmykia, Karachay-Cherkessia, North Ossetia, Stavropol, Astrakhan, the Volgograd and Rostov regions, Sochi, Taganrog, Novorossiysk and Kislovodsk will take part in the exhibition.
The project also includes a conference "The Artistic Life of the South of Russia: History and Prospects", which will bring together leading experts in the field of fine arts, art dealers and art historians.
The exhibition "South of Russia" was last held in December 2012 in Rostov-on-Don, and has now moved to Grozny.
