Serzh Sargsyan awards Medal of Honor to composer Raimonds Pauls

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has awarded Latvian composer Raimonds Pauls with the Order of Honor, the press service of the Armenian state reports.

The Order of Honor is awarded for the defense of the state and national interests of Armenia.

"Pauls was awarded the order for his contribution to the strengthening and development of Armenian-Latvian cultural ties, as well as for his contribution to world music," RIA Novosti reports.
