The Moscow House of Nationalities will hold a special concert called White Cranes at 6.00pm on October 23 to mark the 90th anniversary of Dagestani and Russian famous poet Rasul Gamzatov.
A documentary will be demonstrated to describe the life and art of Gamzatov. Sergey Shkarpeta will share memories about the poet. Mario Durandwill, Selim Alakhyarov, Islam Isabagandov and Mahmoud Khuchbarov will perform songs based on the verses of Gamzatov. The Namus dancing group will also perform.
The White Cranes Festival was founded by Gamzatov himself. It is marked annually on October 22. The Commission for Culture and Historic Heritage of the Dagestani Presidential Public Council, Dagestan Moscow Cultural Center and the Moscow House of Nationalities are the organizers of the festival.
