Pashayeva commemorates Lord Fraser

Diplomats and representatives of Azerbaijani organizations in the UK, British and foreign officials attended a commemoration for Lord Fraser, late co-chair of the Anglo-Azerbaijani Society, yesterday, AzerTAG reports.
The evening started with a speech by Kenneth Forest, Honorary Secretary of the Anglo-Azerbaijani Society. He described the life and achievements of Lord Fraser.
Professor Nargiz Pashayeva, a co-chair of the society, said that Lord Fraser had contributed to expansion of the cultural and humanitarian ties between Azerbaijan and the UK.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to the UK Fakhraddin Gurbanov shared his memories about Lord Fraser. He emphasized the contribution Lord Fraser had made to bilateral relations and noted that the official had been awarded with the Dostlug Order of Azerbaijan in 2011.
Jamie, Lord Fraser’s son, said that he was proud of his father. He said that the lord had always loved Azerbaijan and was happy to share feelings experienced there.
The Anglo-Azerbaijani Society was founded to encourage creativity of talented young artists, especially in the music field.
