Ramazan Abdulatipov, President of Dagestan, and Victor Sadovnichy, Rector of the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, signed a cooperation deal at the university at Leninskiye Gory in Moscow yesterday. Sadovnichy recalled that he had known the president since his work at the Council of Rectors as head of a Russian university, RIA Dagestan reports.
Abdulatipov called the MSU the summit for every person born in the USSR and Russia. He noted that Dagestan needed specialists of the MSU to train staff and cooperation in the field of science.
According to the document signed, Dagestan will send proposals for joint research to the university, form cooperation ties of scientists and teachers, form programs of cooperation in science and education, innovations. The MSU will organize staff-training in the economic and social fields for Dagestan, cooperate in joint science programs, improve prestige of Dagestan, encourage opening of more schools, as well as support young scientists.
