A mobile exhibition entitled Legends of the Caucasus has been created in North Ossetia. It was initiated by the North Ossetian National Museum and realized by the Russian Culture Ministry, Interfax reports.
The project was organized to popularize the cultural heritage of the North Caucasus, a positive image of the region and encourage people to visit museums. The exhibition will demonstrate unique historic, archeological and ethnographic artifacts of the North Ossetian National Museum.
The exhibition will demonstrate Koban bronze of 2000 BC, objects of early Medieval, gear of Alan horses of the 7-12th centuries.
The exhibition will be available in North Ossetia until December 13. It will visit the National Museum of Chechnya in Grozny on December 14-17, Stavropol State Reserve named after G. Prozritelev and G. Prave on December 19-22 and the Kabardino-Balkarian National Museum in Nalchik on December 24-27.
