South Ossetia marks 200th anniversary of Lermontov's birth

South Ossetia is marking the 200th anniversary of the birth of writer Mikhail Lermontov. The presidium of the Association of Russian Language and Literature Teachers of South Ossetia organized marking of the anniversary in January, said Zalina Tedeyeva, President of the Association, Res reports.The Living Classic Festival started on March 6. Students and teachers of the South Ossetian State University and pupils of city schools took part.The Association plans a science conference and a trip to Pyatigorsk to see place Lermontov visited.
