Azerbaijani and Iranian medical education centers expand cooperation

The Azerbaijani Medical University (AMU) has organized a meeting with members of the Tabriz Medical University at the Education and Therapy Clinic today, AzerTAG reports.The universities signed a cooperation memorandum.AMU Rector Akhliman Amiraslanov noted that the reforms of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in healthcare, construction and reconstruction of medical centers were being implemented at a fast pace. He noted that over 7,000 students were studying at the AMU. Over 1,100 of them were foreigners, including 268 Iranians.Professor Muhammedguseyn Somi, Rector of the Tabriz Medical University, noted the readiness of the university to exchange students, teachers, implement joint medical projects and organize science seminars.Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mosun Pak Ayin noted that the recent visit of Aliyev to Iran had been a important moment in developing bilateral relations.
