The Armenian Architecture Research Fund will publish “History of Armenia” in 36 tomes in November. It will have information about 10,000 residential areas of the country. It will be a 10-year project, said Samvel Karapetyan, the head of the fund, News Armenia reports.
History of Armenia will be presented in 70 regions. Each tome will have details about the history of the regions, starting in the 1950s. The books will offer information about the location of residential areas, their history, archeological monuments, population, churches, fortresses, temples and cemeteries.
The first tome will be dedicated to the Ayotz Dzor Region south-east of Lake Van.
