Russian Culture Minister Vladimir Medinsky has granted state awards to cultural and art figures on behalf of the president at the Culture Ministry, within the framework of the Culture Year, ITAR-TASS reports.
Film director Vladimir Naumov and artist of the Moscow State Academic Philharmonic Eliso Versaladze received Orders of Honour; artist of the A.P. Chekhov Moscow Art Academic Theater Stanislav Lyubshin, writer and historian Igor Volgin and Executive Director of the CIS International Humanitarian Cooperation Fund Anatoly Iksanov got Friendship Orders; actors Maksim Averin and Vladimir Zaytsev got the Honorary Artist of the Russian Federation ranks.
Awards were given to 60 figures.
