A clay amulet workshop of the Chalcolithic Period was found at Yilginli-Depe in Turkmenistan. Scientists of the National Directorate for the Protection, Study and Restoration of Historical and Cultural Monuments of Turkmenistan and the Russian Academy of Sciences Institute for History and Material Culture were carrying out excavations, TASS reports.
The findings have been conserved for study next season. Natalya Solovyova heading the expedition said that the findings could add knowledge about farming and early villages in Central Asia and the Middle East.
Statues made at the workshop are demonstrated at the Turkmenistan Museum of Visual Arts, according to Ahmed Khalmyradov, the director of the Abiverd State History and Culture Reserve.
