The outstanding Greek singer, pop star of the 1970-1980's Demis Roussos died last night in Athens at the age of 68. This was reported by showman Nikos Alayas. The cause of death has not been announced publically.
The real name of the singer is Artemios Venturis Roussos. In 1970 he was entered in the Guinness Book of Records for number of records sold. He recorded just under 30 records, toured all over the world and was in Russia many times. The most famous of his songs are Goodbye my Love, Goodbye, Forever and Ever, From Souvenirs to Souvenirs, and My Only Fascination.
