Dagestan to hold Cultural Festival in Paris

 

Paris will host the Cultural Festival of Dagestan and Derbent on August 31 – September 4. The festival includes an exhibition to demonstrate decorative and applied artwork, traditional industrial arts. A concert of art masters and art groups will be organized.The festival was organized by the governments of Russia and Dagestan, the regional and the federal Ministries of Culture, the Russian office at the UNESCO in Paris.The organizing committee of the festival held its first session on January 29 under the chairmanship of Dagestani Culture Minister Zarema Butayeva. The best proposals made at the session will be sent to Dagestani Leader Ramazan Abdulatipov for consideration.
