The Minister of Culture of China, Luo Shugang, at a meeting of Ministers of Culture of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states, proposed holding the 2016 forum of intangible cultural heritage of countries outside the organization.
"We offer to hold a forum of Intangible Cultural Heritage of the SCO countries in China in 2016. Then you can think about an exhibition of the people of the Silk Road, a festival of national dances," TASS cited him as saying.
Also, Luo Shugang believes that the SCO countries need more cooperation in the cultural sphere. In particular, the Minister stressed the need to "hold meetings of museum directors, producers, curators, directors of festivals" and carry out youth exchanges in various fields of culture.
