An ex-member of the A'Studio band, Batyrkhan Shukenov, has died in Moscow in his 53rd year of life, producer Alexander Semin said.
"My friend – the first lead singer of A'Studio, Batyrkhan Shukenov, has died today of a heart attack,” he wrote on his Instagram page.
Batyrkhan Shukenov will be buried in Kazakhstan, his press secretary Yulia Uglova said.
Batyrkhan Shukenov was born in Kazakhstan in 1962. He graduated from Almaty Conservatory. He began his career as a saxophonist for the singer Rosa Rymbayeva. In 1988 he became the frontman of the popular band A'Studio. The artist left A'Studio in 2000 for a solo career.
