Today the famous Russian conductor Valery Gergiev celebrates his birthday. He was born in Moscow on May 2, 1953.
Valery Gergiev was brought up in a whole galaxy of world-class singers, who are performing with great success in opera houses of the world today. He organized the Academy of Young Singers and the Youth Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre.
