The Azerbaijan State Caspian Sea Steamship company is planning to put into commission a new dry cargo port, reports abc.az, citing company head Aydin Bashirov.
Bashirov said the port would go into operation in “about 10-15 days."
Construction of the port began in May 2008. The government has allocated over $300 million for its completion. The port will provide 400 new jobs.
The port will replace the Baku International Sea Trade Port, which is to be moved to a new site 40 km to the south of Baku.
