The minister of roads and transport of Iran, Hamid Behbehami, stated that the railroad Zhedan-Kerman is ready for operation, and its capacity is three cargo trains in a day, Iran News reports.
He also said the railroad has all the appropriate facilities for the official opening of train traffic.
The minister stated that the railroad is ready to implement transit between the countries of Europe and South-Eastern Asia and exporting and importing to Iran from its neighbours.
The construction of the road was aimed at the reviving of the ancient Silk Road.
