Most of livestock production in Iran is produced by subsidiary households

The deputy Minister of Agriculture, Jihad Saadatolla Abbasi during a press conference in Bodzhnurde said that about 80% of meat livestock in Iran is produced by traditional methods and 20% - by industrial methods, Iran.ru reports.

According to S. Abbasi, Iran produces annually up to 13 million tons of animal products and by the end of 2015 this figure should grow up to 18 million tons.

S. Abbasi said that the further growth in the volume of livestock production will contribute to more investments in the industry and construction of new infrastructure facilities and industrial complexes.
