Gazprom will increase the volume of its purchases of Azerbaijani gas
in 2012, the press-service of the Russian company said. The agreement
was reached on Friday at talks between the President of the State Oil
Company of Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR), Rovnag Abdullayev and the
chairman of the board of Gazprom, Alexey Miller, Trend reports.
The companies summed up cooperation for 2010. It was noted that gas
deliveries from Azerbaijan to Russia are the most reliable and
represent the safest route of delivery of Azerbaijani gas.
At the meeting, the volume of gas purchases for 2011 was confirmed and
it will amount to 2 billion cubic meters.
Supplies of Azerbaijani gas to Russia began in January 2010.
