Director of the department of trade with European, American and CIS of
the Organization for Trade Development, Abdolhamid Asaduyan, said that
Iranian export to the CIS countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus
reached $1.208 billion from March 21 to December 21, 2010. This
exceeds the sum in the same period of 2009 by $61 million, IRIB news
reports.
Azerbaijan is the main importer of Iranian products.
Iran exported goods worth $1.578 billion to the CIS countries of
Central Asia and the Caucasus from March 21, 2009, to March 20, 2010.
The import level of Iran in the first nine months reached $1.682
billion, which is by $181 million less than in the same period last
year. Last year Iran imported products worth $2.195 billion from the
CIS states.
