Head of Energy Customs of Ukraine fired for theft of Azerbaijani oil

The head of the State Customs Service of Ukraine, Ihor Kaletnik, was
dismissed on the 26th of January 2011 by the head of the Energy
Customs Office, Ruslan Cherkassky, rusenergy.com reports.

A source in the HR department said that, during a review at the Energy
Customs Office, a shortfall of taxes to the state budget was revealed,
amounting to $55 million.

As reported previously, Vitaly Zakolodyazhny was appointed Acting Head
of the Energy Customs Office.

The Energy Customs Office was established in 2005.
