Azerbaijani and Ukrainian presidents sign memorandum on liquefied gas supplies

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Ukrainian President Victor
Yanukovych signed a memorandum on cooperation in organizing transport
of natural gas to Ukraine, interfax.com.ua reports.


The Cabinet of Ukraine and the Azerbaijani government signed an
agreement on developing cooperation in transporting oil through
Ukraine.


The head of Ukrainian presidential administration, Sergey Levochkin,
clarified that Azerbaijan will provide 4 million tons of oil annually
using the Odessa-Brody oil pipeline.


Commenting on the terms of providing liquefied gas to Ukraine, he said
that details will be available when the tender for construction of the
first liquefied gas plant in Ukraine is concluded.


Levochkin added that liquefied gas supplies will provide alternate gas
sources and help reduce its price.
