Tourism, agriculture, shipbuilding and the textile industry are
spheres of interest for Turkish investors, Georgian Minister of
Economy and Stable Development Vera Kobalia said after a recent visit
to Turkey, Business Georgia reports.
Kobalia informed potential investors about projects. Some expressed
interest in Anaklia, Kobuleti and Mestia and joint realized projects,
some wanted to start new businesses. The head of the Dzhank company,
Ersan Bakanai, said that he plans to found a shipbuilding factory in
Georgia.
Ata Holding plans to construct major tourist complexes, textile
enterprises and restaurant construction material production facilities
in Turkey.
The minister visited the Georgian-Turkish Fund of Culture and
Education and met Ismen Adzhar, who controls Adzhar Holding and plans
investing into Georgian tourist projects, especially in Anaklia.
An agreement with Medical Park, a large hospital in Batumi, will be signed soon.
The next meeting with Turkish investors will be held in Georgia, at
which contracts will be signed.
