Azerbaijan has increased tariffs on postal services, water and rail transport. The decision was taken today at a meeting of the Tariff Council of Azerbaijan, Trend reports referring to the information of the Tariff Board.
The participants of the meeting reviewed tariffs of universal postal services provided by "Azərpoçt", subordinated to the Ministry for Communications and Information Technology. The new tariffs for international and domestic mail were also defined, as well as for parcel services.
Regarding international parcels basic rates were identified which depend on the recipient country and weight of package.
The price for water was also reviewed, as well as the tariffs for passenger transportation services.
The new tariffs will take effect from February, 1 2011.
