Accounts’ Chamber to examine budget expenses in Kabardino-Balkaria and Chechnya

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has asked the Accounts’ Chamber
to strictly monitor the expenditure of federal funds in the regions.
In the near future the situation in Kabardino-Balkaria will be
examined and in the spring - in Chechnya, RIA Novosti reports.

The head of the Accounts’ Chamber, Sergei Stepashin, said that much of
the work planned by the Accounts’ Chamber for 2011 coincides with the
objectives of the government.

In February - April 2011 the Accounts’ Chamber will examine the budget
funds allocated for the provision of counter-terrorism security within
the transport infrastructure. The head of the joint venture previously
reported that inspections are being carried out in connection with the
terrorist attack at Moscow's Domodedovo airport. Revisions will take
place across the country and will take approximately three months.
