The prices for oil have exceeded $100 per barrel for the first time in
over 2 years. The dramatic rise was caused by fears of investors that
the disorder in Egypt will spread to oil extracting countries in the
Middle East, Reuters reports.
The price for March futures for Brent oil rose by $1.59 and reached
$101.01 per barrel, which is the maximum price since September 2008.
The price for March futures for Light Sweet oil at NYMEX exchange
increased by $2.85 and reached $92.19 per barrel.
