Governor of Stavropol Territory Valery Gayevsky said that
reconstruction work at the Mineralnye Vody airport that started in
2004 needs an extra 420 million rubles to the 1.45 billion already
invested and is due to be completed in April 2011, Yuga.ru reports.
The Russian government handed supervision of the airport to the
regional authorities.
At a meeting Gayevsky discussed air security and measures taken after
the terrorist attack at Moscow's Domodedovo airport. He said that the
airport is well-equipped, has transport police and control system.
