In January 2011 Azerbaijan produced 1.9 billion kWh of energy, which is 11.8% more than in December 2010, APA reports.
1.8 billion kWh of energy were produced by thermal stations, 0.1 billion kWh – by hydroelectric stations.
In addition, energy exchanges with neighbouring countries (Russia, Iran, Turkey) were continued.
