China plans to invest $13 billion in the implementation of railway projects in Iran, reports Business-Georgia, referring to Kommersant.
The contract between the two countries includes the construction of an extensive rail network with a total length of more than 5.3 thousand km.
According to Iranian sources, in recent years, China took first place among the economic partners of Iran and is the leader of investment in the country's economy.Iran is one of the main suppliers of oil to China. Trade turnover between the two countries in the past 15 years increased more than 50 times and in the last year amounted to $ 30 billion.
