More than 100 000 people will be employed to service the Sochi-2014 winter Olympics, reports RBK, citing Russian vice-premier Mikhail Kozak.
He said that half of the service staff will be volunteers employed on a short-term basis, others will be personnel of hotels and Olympic facilities and infrastructure, including security personnel. He added that these people need special training and accommodation.
Kozak said that these people will receive apartments under the terms of special programs. More than 15 thousand people are working on construction of Olympic facilities and only 772 of them are foreigners.
