SOCAR expanding

The Production Association "Azerkimya" of SOCAR (the State Oil Company
of Azerbaijan) began increasing the productive capacity of the EP-300
plant producing ethylene and polyethylene, says the statement released
by SOCAR on Friday, Trend reports.

SOCAR is hosting discussions with experts of petrochemical industries
and specialized research institutes on the topic of expansion.

During the discussions it was decided to undertake studies to clarify
the status of equipment, actual productivity and other technical and
performance indicators, in order to determine areas for the
reconstruction work planned in the near future.
