Tbilisi closes Borzhomi railway station

The company Georgian Railways has decided to close Borzhomi railway
station in Tbilisi. Suburban trains from Borzhomi, Gardabani and
Sadakhlo will run from the central railway station, Tbilisi airport
will be their final stop, Business Georgia reports.


The company hopes that the initiative will have a positive effect on
tourism. The ticket prices remain unchanged.


Georgian Railways has not changed their prices for 5 years, according
to the deputy head of the passenger transport of the company, Hariton
Shalamberidze.


Passengers from the central railway station will be transported
through Navtlugi station, the village of Aeroportovsky and Orkhevi and
will make the final stop at the international airport.
