Armenia plans to develop agriculture

Armenia aims to ensure that by 2011 at least 10% growth in agriculture, said today Prime Minister of the country Tigran Sarkisian, ARKA reports.

 Armenian government adopted the program for the development of production of barley and approved the import of seeds to increase the crop areas and the gross yield.

In order to realize this goal it is decided to import from Ukraine 2000 tons of first-class barley seeds and give them to the land users as a part governamental assistance.
