Kabardino-Balkaria to spend 2.2 billion rubles on healthcare system

The authorities of Kabardino-Balkaria have allocated more than 2.2
billion rubles for a modernization program of health institutions for
2011-2012. The program provides for the creation of crisis centers for
pregnant women, a children's hospice and a vascular center, among
others, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the presidential press
service of Kabardino-Balkaria.

According to the Ministry of Health of the republic, the depreciation
of fixed assets of health facilities in Kabardino-Balkaria is
currently running at more than 50%, buildings and structures - 60% and
medical equipment - more than 70%
