The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) has launched
another borehole at the shallow-water part of the Gunashli field in
the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea. The borehole was made by
SOCAR-AQS, Trend reports.
The new borehole was launched at the Gunashli-13 platform. It extracts
152,000 cubic meters of gas and 20 tons of gas condensate daily, at an
interval of 3368-3350 meters.
SOCAR-AQS was founded on December 19, 2007. SOCAR has a 51% share,
Abseron Qazma – 49%.
The company carries out drilling operations using 3 drilling units at
the two stationary platforms on Gunashli for Azneft, a company of
SOCAR. One drilling unit is operating at the Gunashli-11 platform and
two at the Gunashli-13.
