South Korea, Stavropol Territory realize joint innovation projects

Russia's Stavropol Territory will see realization of Russian-South
Korean joint innovation projects, RIA Novosti cites the press-service
of the Ministry of Economic Development of the region as saying.


The Russian-Korean seminar entitled "Energy efficiency: innovation
technologies in photodiode illumination" was organized by regional
ministry. Heads of KAPID and KOPTI and other leaders of the industry
from South Korea took part in the meeting.


The sides talked on new trends and prospects of innovative
technologies in photodiode illumination. South Korea presented its
developments. The region presented its own energy-efficient project.
Stavropol will have a plant producing its own photo-electric
installations.


Scientists of the North Caucasus State Technical University in
Stavropol and the Physics and Technical University of Ioffe from
Saint-Petersburg presented the new solar energy technology.


Specialists say that their solar grids produce 35-40% more energy.
The total investments in the project exceed 5.7 billion rubles.
Rosnano is a co-investor of the project.
