The unemployment rate in Turkey has decreased, TRT reports. Statistics Committee of Turkey published the unemployment data for 2010.
In 2010, the unemployment rate fell to 11.9%. The number of unemployed decreased by 425 thousand people as compared to the previous year and amounted to 3 million 46 thousand people.
In urban areas the unemployment rate fell by 2,4% to 14,2%, while in rural areas by 1,6% to 7,3%.
The highest employment rate, 58.2%, is in the East of Black Sea region.
