Olive gardens of 500 hectares will be planted in Georgia by the end of 2011, Business Georgia reports.
The minister of agriculture of Georgia Bakur Kvezereli stated that it will enable the export of the product.
He added that Georgia has big potential in the sphere of olive production. Either Turkish or Israeli investors are interested in oil-gardening.
Last year Jeolive company stated its interest in oil-gardening in Georgia. It has already invested about $800 000 in agriculture of the country.
