Iran to manufacture light aircraft

The Head of the Aviation Industry of Iran, Manouchehr Manteca, in an interview with Mehr said that Iran is going to launch production of light aircraft designed for 6-19 passengers. As part of this program, centers for training pilots will be established in 20 airports in the country, Iran News reports.
Manteca noted that currently in Iran there are already opportunities for the construction of airplanes designed for 2-4 people. 
Manteca added that work on the design of light aircraft for 6-19 passengers is being conducted in close collaboration with the Iranian private sector and universities.
