Azerbaijan to open direct air service with Turkmenistan

Turkmen ambassador to Azerbaijan Toyli Komekov hopes for rapid opening of direct air service between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, Trend reports.

At present, talks are underway. Possibility of opening a direct flight is being considered, Komekov told journalists on Wednesday.

The exact date of the opening of the flight is under consideration of the two countries’ transport ministries and will be known after the details are agreed, he said.

Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan have been actively developing trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation in recent years. The opening of the direct flight will further make various aspects of mutual relations between the countries active.
