The Chechen capital, Grozny, will open a sports complex named after Ahmat Kadyrov by May 9, Yuga.ru reports.
Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov inspected the facility. He ordered the work to be completed by May 9. The sports complex will host football matches of the Russian Premier League and international matches.
The sports complex will meet UEFA and FIFA standards and will become one of the most advanced sports complexes in Russia, in terms of architecture and technical realization.
The complex covers 45 hectares, with the building covering over 15 hectares. It will have a large football arena for 30,000 spectators. There will be two training grounds for 1000 people with natural and artificial ground cover. The complex will have a sports center with 5000 places, sports and children’s swimming pools for 500 people and a sports and recreation center for 350 people. A hotel complex with 500 rooms will be built.
