The new head of the Iranian Nuclear Energy Organization, Fereydun Abbasi Davani, has said that Iran is expanding its activities in nuclear technologies, IRNA reports.
He did not clarify the materials or technologies. The UN Security Council forbids the provision of nuclear technologies and materials and providing services in the sphere.
Six resolutions of the UN Security Council have been passed on the Iranian nuclear program so far. Four of them introduced economic and political sanctions against Iran.
The USA and a set of other countries accuse Iran of developing nuclear arms against the background of peaceful nuclear energy. Tehran denies the accusations and insists that the program is aimed at fulfilling the demand for electricity.
