Change in calculation procedure for Armenia market basket

The market basket in Armenia will be calculated according to a new methodology of the World Bank from March,  the chairman of the National Statistical Service (NSS) of Armenia Stepan Mnatsakanyan told reporters on Monday.
         
Mnatsakanian said the new methodology for calculating the consumer basket was developed on the basis of the study of 7,872 households conducted in 2009.

With the use of methodology of the World Bank implied in the calculation of the results of the fourth quarter of 2010, the monthly amount of the consumer basket in Armenia was estimate at 42 158.7 drama.
