Experts to prepare proposal for enhanced cooperation in Caspian basin

an, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan will form a working group under the auspices of the Institute of the Caspian Sea Cooperation Organization (Russia) and begin to prepare projects in the energy, transport, socio-humanitarian and information cooperation spheres between the countries of the Caspian Five.

This decision was made Tuesday at a conference in Astrakhan, "The Caspian Sea - territory development: in search of new forms of the Caspian Sea Cooperation” which was attended by representatives of international organizations, think tanks, diplomatic missions and the countries of the Caspian Sea, RIA Novosti reports.

The need for greater and closer cooperation among regional participants is aimed at substantiating the growing risk of instability in Central Asia and Southern Caucasus.
