Feasibility study of Baku Bay to be ready in July

Korean specialists working on construction of a bridge over the Bay of Baku have presented their proposals, the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) said today, Trend reports.


The proposals were made at an interim council. Sadradding Mamedov, head of the department of transport policy and economy of the Transport Ministry of Azerbaijan, a representative of the head of Azerbaijani office in KOICA and experts from the Korean trunk road consortium, consisting of Dongsung Engineering, Chungsuk Engineering and Dodam E&C were at the meeting.


Experts studied such contracts as the BOT, BTO, BTL and PPP.


Economic and financial analysis will be made after the Transport Ministry analyzes the proposals. The final account will be presented to the ministry in July.


Preparation of the feasibility started based on a grant worth $1.6 million, provided by KOICA in July 2010.
