Minimum cost of living increases in Georgia

According to statistics of February 2011, the subsistence minimum for a self-supporting single man rose to 158.7 lari, Business Georgia reports.
"Subsistence minimum is calculated according to the price level and the level of prices; in February it rose by about 14 percent," Medianews quotes economics expert Nodar Khaduri.
Accordingly, the cost of living, compared to January, increased by six lari.
In February 2011 the cost of living for a family of two people was 224.9 lari, for a family of three - 253.1 lari, for a family of four - 281.2 lari and 316.3 lari for a family of five.
