Three people died in an air crash of an An-12 aircraft in the Republic of Congo, three of them are Russian and one from Kazakhstan, press officer of the Russian embassy Oleg Butakov said, ITAR-TASS reports.
The Russian crew – Commander Ivan Panin, Nikolai Kuryatnik, Leonid Zhavoronkov (all from Tver) and a Kazakh citizen, Ayzhan Aytkaliyev, died.
The An-12 cargo plane belonging to Trans Air Congo crashed in a residential area of Puent-Nuar, on a Brazzaville – Puent-Nuar flight. Preliminary information says that the crash was caused by technical problems. Several locals died.
