Russia has given Japan comprehensive proposals for the development of energy cooperation, including oil and gas and electricity, Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin, responsible for the fuel and energy sector, after a meeting with Japanese Ambassador to Moscow Masaharu Kohno, RIA Novosti reports.
Earlier on Tuesday, he reported that Russia proposed that Japan take part in the development of Kovykta gas field and oil and Chayanda gas deposits, as well as in oil refining projects in the Far East. In addition, Russia in connection with the energy crisis in Japan after an earthquake on March 11 intends to increase the supply of oil products to the country.
